Ronald "Ron" F. Potter
August 11th, 1967 - October 20th, 2023
Ronald “Ron” Potter, 56, passed away peacefully on October 20th in Meridian, Idaho. Ron was a committed and devoted husband and father. He treasured his family and made them his priority. Through his legacy as a parent and husband, he taught his children kindness, work ethic, helping people at a moment’s notice, and taught them how to be good people. Ron had the foresight to know life is short and achieved so many of his goals and encouraged others to do the same. His sense of humor was as big as his heart which was clearly evident up to his last day. Ron owned Alpicella Bakery where he worked many hours to cultivate a company that not only served his customers and employees, but his community. He was committed to quality and a consistent product that people grew to love in the greater Treasure Valley. He took many forms in this life; as an entrepreneur, truck driver, skier, hunter, traveler, Chiefs and BSU fan, DIY’er, coach, but most notable, a son, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother, and best friend. Family was his top priority and he made sure to enjoy every moment with them. Traveling with the love of his life, making memories with his children and grandchildren were his most notable achievements. He held a desire for adventure that has been and will continue to be passed down for generations. Ron also looked forward to his May fishing trips with his best friend Tony. In the summers, Ron and Becky, created a home away from home in the Idaho mountains near Lake Cascade, where they hosted many friends and family for years. There wasn’t an empty camping chair and always room for more. In the off seasons, he enjoyed holiday parties with friends, football with his son, and helping his mom and siblings with whatever they needed. Ron loved dirt bike riding, skiing, fishing, and most of all soaking up the beautiful sun in Puerto Vallarta. From his kids to his grandkids, to his friends and their children and his siblings, all were important to him. Becky, however, was the love of Ron’s life. She was his soulmate and best friend. They respected each other greatly and it reflected onto the rest of the family. Ron leaves behind his wife Becky; his children Brittany and Taylor; grandchildren Lynn, Nolan, and Adelaide; his mother Sigrid; siblings JoAnn (Ray), Mark, Monika, Monte (Brenda), and Dot (Monte); his In-Laws Ray and Dany Schellekens and Anne (Dave) Comstock; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Clarence Potter, Uncle Verle, and Uncle Ray. In lieu of flowers, please enjoy your favorite whiskey any way you want it, or an icy Negro Modelo; preferably both. A Celebration of Life will be held at Legends Pub & Grill in Boise on November 11, 2023 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

Accent Funeral Home
A local landmark in Meridian, Accent Funeral Home has been serving the community since 1986. The business was first established with a vision to offer services in a comfortable, homelike atmosphere. This vision is reflected in our building, a Tudor-style home built in 1938 for a local postman. When remodeling the house to accommodate the funeral home, much care was taken to preserve the original architectural integrity of the building. The Accent Funeral Home holds a special relationship with the Meridian community and is sensitive to the area’s changing needs, providing service and friendship to comfort those we serve....
