Rose Virginia Dietrick Simpson went to be with the Lord on January 9, 2018 at the age of 97. She was born September 17, 1920 in Vinita, Oklahoma. Rose married William Everett Simpson in May of 1937 in Meridian, Idaho. She is survived by her sons, Walt (Marie) of Middleton, Idaho and Bill (Connie) of Meadow Vista, California, 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 8 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in passing by her husband, Everett and oldest son Jerome. In their early life together they raised their family and established a prospering business, Simpson Machine Shop, in Caldwell and were known throughout the surrounding communities. After retirement, they enjoyed winters in their travel trailer in Arizona selling rock from their picture jasper mine, going to swap meets, Everett playing pool and Rose crocheting blankets for family and friends. Rose was best known for her love of her family. She welcomed one and all and was always ready fora family reunion – big or small. She was a fabulous gardener, cook and prayer warrior. She spoiled her grandchildren and taught us all many life lessons through her words and actions. Services to be held at 11:00 a.m., January 16th, 2018, at First Baptist Church, 108 E. 1st Street, Middleton, Idaho. Reception following in the Fellowship Hall. We would love for you to write out your memories of Rose at the reception or at flahifffuneralchapel.com. Service Information
