George Bradley Templeton
October 27th, 1933 - April 6th, 2024
George Bradley Templeton “Brad” of Eugene passed away on April 6th, 2024 at 90 years old in his home surrounded by family.
Funeral services will be held April 12th 2024 at 1:00pm at Springfield Landmark Missionary Baptist Church located at 421 S 40th St. Springfield, Oregon. A short graveside service will follow at McGulloch cemetery on Briggs Hill Rd in Eugene, Oregon.
Brad was born in Eugene to Waldene and Morris Emerald Templeton on October 27th, 1933. He went to Eugene highschool and attended a few courses at Portland State University and the University of Oregon. Brad enlisted in the Navy and served in the Korean War aboard the USS COwell from 1951 to 1954. He married Mary Jo Tadlock who had a son, David Tadlock, and together they had a son, Bradley Templeton. Brad met and married Shirley Yvonne Carey, his second wife on April 19, 1966. Shirley had three children Steve Kitchens, Marvin Kitchens, Pamela Kitchens, and together they had a son, Shaun Templeton.
Brad was preceded in death by mother Waldene Templeton and father Morris Templeton, his brother Earl Arey and sister Deloris Evers and Grandson, Cody Templeton.
Brad is survived by his wife, Shirley Templeton, sons David Tadlock of Bend, Brad and wife Sandy of Bend, Steven and wife Sharon of Springfield, Marvin and wife Trang Kitchens of Eugene, Shaun and wife Angie of Toledo and daughter Pamela and husband Gary Cabellero of Junction City. 13 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
