Dolores "Dodie" Joan Peter

Dolores Joan (Simmons) Peter: Born in Indianapolis, Indiana on January 27, 1929 and crossed over to heaven from Benson, Arizona on July 5, 2023 in her home in the presence of family. Dolores or Dodie as so many called her, lived a long adventurous life. She was the most caring, wonderful mother, wife, daughter, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, cousin, friend anyone could have! Her marriage of 57 years to Daryl ended in 2010 when he passed 1 day shy of their 57th wedding anniversary and she continued to live in their custom-built home until her passing. Dodie grew up in Indiana but over the course of her marriage she also lived in Texas, Louisiana, Ohio, Wisconsin, California and Arizona. Her and Daryl raised 3 sons and 1 daughter. She worked full-time most of her married life in office positions, many of which involved bookkeeping. She enjoyed listening to all kinds of music, researching on Google, texting on her smartphone, being active in her church, reading and enjoying life.
