Gordon DoBell
February 19th, 1956 - June 29th, 2016
Gordon P. DoBell, age 60, passed away at Show Low Hospital on Wednesday, June 29, 2016. He was born February 19, 1956 at St Mary's Hospital in Gallup, New Mexico and moved to the DoBell Ranch at the age of 2. He graduated from Holbrook High School in 1974. He joined the Army in 1975, serving as a Tank Mechanic and after his service, he continued working as a mechanic personally and professionally (APS). He also continued the work of his Grandfather, Frank DoBell, with the DoBell Ranch as a Lapidary. He had a passion for Petrified Wood, enjoyed sharing that passion with others and loved sharing the history of the DoBell Ranch. He had a huge heart and spent his life helping others. He is survived by: Children/Grand Children John Paul DoBell - Flagstaff - Uriah, Zerachaya, Elias Athena DoBell-Garcia (Andre) - Peoria - Cooper, Chloe, Mason Noah Adam DoBell - Petrified Forest - Isabell, Dominic Stepchildren Crystal Elliston - Holbrook - Marcus, Bella, Matthew Lacy Serna (Nick) - Holbrook - Isaac, Nicholas Siblings Chris DoBell Young (Brent) - Joseph City Carolyn DoBell - Mesa Frank DoBell (Rhonda) - Petrified Forest Kevin DoBell - Wilcox Stepmother Beverly DoBell - Wilcox Aunts Edna May Patton - Petrified Forest Roberta Hartwell - Colorado He was proceeded in Death by his father Francis Albert DoBell II "Buzz" and his mother Kathleen Elliston. Daddy, you have a heart of gold and I hope you know how much we love you! You will be deeply missed! - JP, Beance and Noah Celebration of Life will be held, details forthcoming.
