Joann French
October 31st, 1942 - May 22nd, 2014
Joann was born on Oct. 31, 1942 in Adrian, Michigan, the second of 5 children. Following her father"s return from his service in WWII, the family spent much of their childhood in California and Arizona. Joann received Christ as her personal Savior while attending a Christian school in CA. The family moved back to Michigan when Joann was in Jr High. She graduated from Sand Creek High School in 1960 and attended Adrian College, Adrian, MI. She married David Keeler and had 2 children. Following David"s death, she raised her children as a single mom. Joann worked in sales and most recently retired from real estate. Her greatest blessings were her children, grandchildren, her extended family, many friends and above all serving her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was active in her church where, over the years, she served in the nursery, AWANA, Vacation Bible School, and at fellowships. Joann will be remembered for her hospitality, her sense of humor, her positive attitude, and making everything fun. Joann is survived by her son, Thom Keeler, daughter, Celeste (Jeff) Parkinson, three grandchildren, Lane (Jonathan) Philobes, Courtney Parkinson and Garrett Parkinson, siblings, Donna (Jim) Barhite, Phillip (Debby) Obenour, and sisters-in-law, Jodie Obenour, Kay (Dallas) Hyatt, Sandra (Dale) Carlton and Janet (Mike) George, 20 nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and a large extended family. Preceding her in passing was her husband David Keeler, her parents Rolland and Thelma Obenour, siblings Carolyn Sue Rathbun, Rick Obenour, in-laws Melvin and Dorothy Keeler, sister-in-law Joy Keeler, and nephew Greg Hyatt.
