Marinda Lee Nettles

We come here today to celebrate the life and death of Marinda Lee Nettles, a mother, grand mother , great grand mother , aunt cousin ,and friend Born August 18, 1952 -sunset October 15th 2023 at the age of 71. Marinda was born in Loraine Ohio to Lizzie Thompson( Arzola Wilson) and Willis Lee Thompson . she later moved to Flint Michigan Where she married former husband the late Marcus Lewis Nettles Sr. she later relocted to Phoenix Arizona where she made her final victory lap around the sun. Marinda was known for her uncanny sense of humor and her love of Bobby Brown , and the Blues. She was always extending her help and home to those in need. Marinda leaves to cherish Her children Dorenda Lavette Tompson, Marcus lewis Nettles Jr., Tizah Cherie Nettles, Carla (David ) Gonzalez. Otis Mitchell , David(Corlius) Mitchell Nettles, Marquita Nettles Andrews. special son Jalil Carter. A host of grand children: Elaysha (Corvaris) Clark , Patrick Fluker,Sharenda (Ronald ) Nettles, Nijah(Agnus) Morgan, Daquandra Townsend,Marcus (Gracie) Nettles 3rd, Rico(Dominique) Nettles Pierre & Marquan Kelso , Brittney(Jamal)Nettles, Dorothy Nettles, Jermaine Wilder, Damea(Deon)smith, Donald (Nicole)Person, Delavie Person, Nataji (LaFaye) Brown, Toine,Awan, Tionesha (Tiece), Tiondra (Davian), Tiondre Bishop, Joshua , Tiesha, Laloni ,Ayeanna, Ayeisha Clark ,Myonna Nettles. Host of great grand children Danaria, Leianna, Kyren, Ronald Jr, Ai'kiah, Carrington, Marcus 4th, Makayla, Marquan, Jada ,Jadence, Jaylon,Joy, David Jr, Daniel,Stella,Braylyn,Jordynn,Journee, Jermani Kayonaa, Kalond, Iris, Emilio, Evelyn,Ivory, Analise, Kamari, Amarion, Tiece Jr, kay'sen, kaymia, she leaves, Nieces Phyllis and Areanna Reed, Maelores (David) Collin. A host of relatives the Reed, Rutlidge, Holmes, Thompson, and Gregory families. Close friends Jean Harris ,Samantha Bradley,Sheila Clark, Carrie Ann Abrams, and a host of family and friends. Marinda was preceeded in death by her parents Lizzie Faucett Thompson (Arzola) Willis Lee Thompson, Aunt and Uncle Willie and Mandania Reed, Uncle Benjamin Thompson,cousins, Wilimeaner and Curtis Reed, Louetta Gregory (the pretty cousin), special son Shuronn Robinson.
