Billie Marie Marshall Billie passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sept 22. She was 93. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years Dr. Robert H. Marshall. Born in Los Mochis, Mexico on January 29, 1929 to an Irish/American father ( Charles Sullivan) and an American/Mexican mother (Soledad Desmond) She came to the United States when she was 8 years old and learned English at Amphi where she continued her studies through High School. There she would develop friendships that would last her lifetime. In her early days she became an accomplished rollerskater and loved showing her ability off to her grandchildren into her 50's. She was a homemaker and a gourmet cook. She belonged to the UofA faculty Wives Club and volunterred and St. Mary's Hospital Axillary for 25 years. She served under Raul Castro on the Appellate Court Commission. Her many hobbies included painting, gardening and traveling. She traveled arpund the world and loved to tell the story of dancing at the top of the Eiffel Tower. She and her husband loved to spend time at their beach house in Mexico and their cabin in Mt. Lemmon where they loved to entertain friends. One of her great pastimes was to read and often had 3 books going at the same time. Russian and English history were her favorites. She rode her exercise bike until she was 92 while reading her books. Billie also had a great voice and was known to join right in when and wherever there was music. She was a devoted Catholic and loved her church, Our Lady of the Desert. She is survived by her daughter Lisa ( Dave), and sons Howard (Pam), and Bobby (Angie), Four grandsons, Byron, Jason, Nick and Adam and great granddaughter Avianna. We will miss you dearly Mom but what a great ride! Donations in her memory can be made to your local foodbank, homeless shelter or Casa De La Luz
