Marian Naomi Riffe
June 28th, 1934 - January 10th, 2024
Marian Naomi Riffe will be remembered for her easy smile and generous nature. She was born in McAdoo, Pennsylvania on June 28, 1934 to Julia Kopie (Gula) and Michael Kopie. From an early age she went by her middle name, Naomi. Naomi graduated from McAdoo High School and Allentown Hospital School of Nursing. She loved her work as a Registered Nurse but was called to a lifetime of travel working for United Airlines. She loved to tell stories about the celebrities she met and the places she visited all over the world during her long career as a flight attendant. Naomi passed away on January 10, 2024 in her home in Tucson, Arizona. She was preceded in death by her life partner Sidney Payne and her brother Michael (Buddy) Kopie. She will be deeply missed by her sisters Martha Artim and Betty Smith as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Naomi loved to laugh, visit Disneyland and eat cheese pizza. We will miss her always but especially when we hear an Elvis Presley or Frank Sinatra song. The family would like to thank the wonderful caregivers from Home Instead and Traditions Hospice for their professionalism and kindness in their gentle care of Aunt Naomi.
