Robert Patrick Smith

Robert Patrick Smith 12/27/1970 - 10/12/2010 Rob passed away peacefully from complications of Cystic Fibrosis at UMC with his immediate family present. Rob was born in NY. In 1986, his family moved to Tucson for better weather. However, it was the medical care, not the weather that kept him with us so long. The truck was packed and with his family and 18 dogs, he arrived in Tucson. It was quite an adventure. Rob loved the gem show and animals, especially his iguana, Miss Ringo. He made sure the quail block was always there for the wildlife that came to visit. He was quiet, considerate and enjoyed making beef jerky and pizza. We lost our son, brother, mechanic, cook, companion and best friend. The family would like to thank all of the people who helped him through the years. We especially would like to give a heartfelt Thank You to Dr. Morgan. Rob leaves behind his parents, Bob and Debby; sister, JoAnne (John) McKearney; nieces, Alison and Amber; nephew John and many, many loving extended family members, including his grandmothers, Madeline Bacchi and Mary Smith of FL.
