November 21st, 1936 - December 26th, 2016
Shirley Ann was born at home in Kennydale, Washington November 21st, 1936 to Willard H. and Gladys McDougal. She passed on December 26th 2016 to be with her beloved mother Gladys, husband of 34 years, Joseph Randall McCubbins, her brother Mac McDougal, and son, Rodney Ray Wortman. Shirley was a dedicated mother and homemaker, she was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends. She had a strong passion for animals, and her last 10 years were dedicated to saving homeless kittens, and raising them, she is survived by 4 grown cats whom she dearly loved, Ralphy, Angie, Tony, and Tiny, which the family is urgently seeking homes. Shirley is survived by a son, Christopher L. Wortman from Havertown, Pennsylvania, and two daughters, Rebecca Renee Redhouse, and Leslie Ann Gilliam. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Nadeen, Natalie, and Christopher Wortman of Havertown Pennsylvania, Joel, Jessica, Jonathan and Vincent Redhouse, Samantha, and Tyler Gilliam of Tucson, and Rayanna Wortman of Texas, and 5 great grandchildren. A Celebration of her Life will be on Saturday, January 7th at 10:30am at the Angel Valley Funeral Home at 2545 N. Tucson Boulevard, Tucson, AZ 85733. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Gerinet Hospice for their support during her last 6 months of life. Private family gatherings will follow her service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the ASPCA, the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
