Joel Brian Mendiola was born November 20, 1991 and passed away December 10, 2021. Joel is survived by his parents William and Nancy Mendiola, and brother Benjamin (Megan) and their kids Emma, Gabriel, and Ezekiel. He also leaves behind a multitude of friends and family, and especially the Wildland Firefighter Community. The genuine camaraderie and espirit de corps that his fellow Wildland Firefighters in his module developed is irreplacable. A true brotherhood. He was a caring person, a giving person; never hesitating to help and volunteered his time at the homeless shelter and animal shelter. Services will include a viewing at 8:45 AM and a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM onWednesday December 29, 2021 at St. Francis De Sales Roman Catholic Church 1375 South Camino Seco, Tucson. Burial will take place at 9:00 AM on Thursday December 30, 2021 at the Arizona Veterans' Memorial Cemetery at Marana 15950 North Luckett Road Marana, Arizona. In lieu of flowers or donations, the family kindly requests you donate your time and efforts to a homeless shelter or an animal shelter.
