JULIE ANN BROWN
June 20th, 1942 - May 28th, 2020
Julie Ann (Mellott) Brown, age 77, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 28th, 2020 in Bullhead City, Arizona where she had lived for the last 30 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Doyle and Dorothy Mellott in Red Oak, Iowa, and numerous aunts and uncles. Julie is survived by her husband of 43 years, Dr. Emmett Brown; her brother, Gary Mellott of Florida; stepsons, Jeffrey Brown of Phoenix, Arizona and Matthew Brown of El Paso, Texas; five grandchildren, Zachary, Dakota, and Jadelynn of Phoenix and Lincoln and Carson of El Paso; and two great-grandchildren, Jaedynn and Zoey of Phoenix. Julie was born June 20, 1942, to Doyle and Dorothy Mellott of Red Oak, Iowa. She graduated from Stennett Iowa High School in 1960. Julie went on to receive her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. She taught in the Omaha Public School System for 12 years and retired from the Mohave Valley Elementary School District after serving for 17 years. Julie played basketball in high school and continued to enjoy sports throughout her life. She was an avid swimmer and enjoyed boating and waterskiing. A graveside service will be held in Red Oak on June 26th at 1100am at Sellergren-Lindell-DeMarce Funeral Home. Julie touched countless lives and will be truly missed by all those who were honored to know her and who loved her…
