Edward Bledsoe April 2, 1932 ~ December 2, 2011 SEASIDE - Ed Bledsoe, age 79, died peacefully at home with his family by his side. He was born in Mart, Texas. He served in the military for 22 years. He later worked and retired from Sears and Roebuck, Firestone and 15 years of civil service. He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion. He had many friends. He was respected by all and loved by most. He loved traveling and spending quality time with his wife Ilse. He is preceded in death by his son, Ruben. He is survived by Ilse, his wife of 26 years; his daughters, Patricia of Texas, Melitta of Colorado, Dorita of Germany, and his son, Edward Jr. of Texas. He is loved and missed by his stepchildren, Linda, Renate, Hilda, Fred and Lillian; his many grandchildren and great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Friday, December 9, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at Mission Memorial Park and Seaside Funeral Home, 1915 Ord Grove Avenue, Seaside, CA. A celebration of life will be held immediately afterward at the VFW, 1996 Fremont Boulevard in Seaside.

Mission Memorial Park
For almost 100 years, our cemetery has served the residents of the Monterey Bay Area. Mission Memorial Park opened in 1934 as Mission Memorial Cemetery and for many years was run by the City of Monterey. In 1988, Monterey Peninsula Mortuary opened on the grounds of our beautiful Seaside location. In 2007 we closed our Chapel of Seaside at our Noche Buena location and merged the two to become Mission Mortuary & Memorial Park....
