HELEN L. OLSEN Helen L. Olsen, born Aug. 10, 1930 in Minot, ND, passed away on Aug. 21, 2012, at her home in Chico, CA. Helen, or Neleh as she was known, was a longtime resident of the Antelope Valley. She was a loved and respected teacher for more than 30 years in the Muroc Unified School District in Edwards Air Force Base. She earned both a Bachelor and Master's degree. Helen loved to travel and in the last year and a half, traveled to Prince Edward Island and most recently Oahu, HI. She loved to read books. Preceded in death by her husband, Harris O. Olsen. Helen is survived by her sister, Maryanne Falcon; daughter, Dee Olsen Reece; son, Robert Olsen; son, Gary Olsen; daughter, Gayle Olsen; granddaughters, Jennifer and Courtney Olsen; grandsons, Adam and Chad Olsen. A Celebration of Helen's life will be held on Sunday, Sept. 9, 2012 at Gayle's home in Chico, CA. For more information, call 707-315-0356.
