Frances "Rosie" Jeanette Betterson
May 6th, 1936 - August 10th, 2017
Frances "Rosie" Jeanette Betterson, 81, passed away peacefully at home August 10, 2017. Born in St. Georges, Bermuda on May 6, 1936, she was the youngest of 8 children born to Maude and Joseph Pearman. She wed Nathan James Betterson Sr., September 6, 1956 at St. Peters Church in St. Geroges, Bermuda. During their 57 year marriage, Frances and her family traveled the world and made a host of friends. She was an accomplished author, artists and thespian. She is preceded in death by her parents; sister Phyllis Pearman; brother Norris Pearman; daughter Michelle Julia Betterson and loving and devoted husband Nathan Betterson, Sr. She is survived by her loving sisters, Aileen Pearman, Ianthe Pearman of St. Georges, Bermuda, Edith Maisner of Warner Robbins, GA; loving brothers, Edric and Percy Pearman of St. Georges, Bermuda; son Nathan James Betterson, Jr.; daughter Janet Marie Betterson; granddaughter Ashley Georgia Rose Stevenson; grandson Rafael Nathaniel Johnson and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at Bethel AME Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Ullrey Memorial Chapel, (530) 673-9542.
