Julia Ann Gallegos

Julia Ann Gallegos August 14, 1931 - November 19, 2011 Resident of Concord Beloved mother of Stephanie Surls, and husband Michael Surls. Julia was born in Gunnison, Colorado to Henara and Marcelino Gallegos. She leaves behind three grandchildren Samantha and Jessica Surls, Joe and Mandy Surls and 2 great grandchildren Katherine and Chelsea Surls. She also leaves behind a sister, Rosalie Zobrak, a nephew Scott Zobrak, and niece Michelle Zobrak. A sister Bernice Lang, and her favorite companion a cat, Cheyenne. Julia served in the Military as a United States Marine Corps for three years. After leaving the Marine Corp she was employed with IBM Corp in technology for over 30 years, and was a long time resident in SF. For the last 27 yrs she lived in Concord, she was well known for her skills in making jewelry and her many craft in knitting anything from Afghan, sweaters, and blankets for the family and friends, including her cat Cheyenne. Family and Friends are invited to the Memorial Service to be held 11:00 am Wednesday, November 30 at OAK PARK HILLS CHAPEL 3111 N. Main Street, Walnut Creek.
