Beulah Carey

Beulah Green Carey was born 3 May 1921 in Payson, Utah, the daughter of Herman Elias Green and Alice Haslam. She taught shorthand at Henager Business School, worked at the Veteran's Administration, worked at Bank of America as a secretary, where she met James Carey, worked at Mare Island, taught sewing at a fabric store, and was a library clerk at the Contra Costa County Library. She married James A. Carey on 21 August 1950 in Berkeley, California. They had four children: Charles, Alice, Raymond, and William. Beulah is the grandmother of Michelle Boyd, Megan Carey Walker, Adam Boyd, Michael Carey, Kyle Carey, Kira Carey, Daniel Carey, Leah Carey, Alexander Carey and Oliver Carey, and the great-grandmother of Levannah Walker, Jayden Walker, Zane Carey and Elliott Carey. She was a member of the Pleasant Hill 2nd Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, where she served in the Primary, Young Women, Scouts, was a counselor in the Relief Society presidency, and served in the Oakland Temple. Private family visitation will be held before the funeral Friends are invited to attend the funeral services at 12:00 pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 555 Boyd Rd, Pleasant Hill.
