Larry Lee Davis, age 81, of Summerfield, FL passed away on Monday, March 25, 2019. He was born in Evergreen Park, IL on January 16, 1938. During his life, Larry worked for the US Postal Service as a Letter Carrier. After retirement, he moved to Spruce Creek South. Larry was member of the Marion County Sheriff Funeral Escort Team. He was one of the original organizers of the SCAT program. He is survived by his wife Arletta Davis; son Larry Davis, Jr (Veda); brother Robert W. Davis, Jr (Rosanne); 1 grandson Jason Christopher Davis (Megan); 1 great granddaughter Audrina Davis; nieces Lori Davis, Lisa Davis, Elizabeth Knottnerus and Cheryl McDonald. He was preceded in death by a daughter Christina Arletta Davis. A memorial service will be held at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 1511 Buenos Aires Blvd, The Villages, FL on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at 2pm.
