August 24th, 1957 - March 11th, 2016
Rosita (Rosie) Velasquez has gone to be with our Lord. Rosa (58) was born in Tucumcari, NM and resided in Albuquerque, NM at the time of her death. Rosa is preceded in death by her Mother, Amelia Velasquez and Father, Raymond Samuel Velasquez, Son, James Engel Jr, and Sister Rolanda Velasquez. She is survived by two daughters, Davida (Anthony) Trujillo of Corrales and Jessica Engel of Tucumcari. Surviving Rosa are Sisters, Alicia (Fabian) Martinez of Edgewood and Gloria (James) Navarro of San Antonio, TX and one Brother Daniel Velasquez of Albuquerque. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and many close family friends. Services will be held at Riverside Funeral Home, 225 San Mateo NE, Albuquerque NM 87108, on Friday, March 18 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Services will be followed by a reception.
