Jesus Manuel Acosta Sanchez

Jesus Manuel Acosta Sanchez, 55, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, beloved father, husband, grandfather, brother, died on June 5, 2016. He was born on February 23, 1961 in Chihuahua, Chihuahua Mexico to Lidia Sanchez and Jesus Acosta. Jesse as he was known to many, grew up in Artesia, California and graduated 1 year early from Gahr High School. Jesse enjoyed fishing, his favorite spot was Table Rock in Laguna Beach. He used to spend his Sunday's working and restoring his classic cars, specifically detailing his Red Monte Carlo. He loved hunting and being one with Nature. He was a great handyman and loved doing his own home repairs. No job was to big for Jesse. He worked many years as a Machinist earning the trust of his employers and being hand pick to assist in special projects. Everyone that knew him immediately fell in love with him. He was a friend to all. Later in life he traded in his tools for the open road where he was a Commercial Truck Driver. He loved the sights driving from Coast to Coast and still while driving managed to always keep in touch with all of his family even surprise visits to his Tia's and cousins in Houston. He made it a point to always be in touch with his family. His greatest pleasure was spending time with those he loved. Jesse is survived by his devoted wife of 27 years, Lourdes; daughter Anita; son Jesse; grandchildren Carlos, Irene, Selena, Treasure; father Jesus; and 8 siblings, 6 sisters and 2 brothers and a great number of nieces and nephews that adored him. A "Celebration of Life" will be held at Riverside Funeral Home, 225 San Mateo NE, Albuquerque, NM 87108 on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at 6:00 pm.
