Victor "Kiko" Ulibarri passed away at Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque, NM on January 1, 2020 at the age of 43. Victor is predeceased by his mother, Bertha Ulibarri, Grandparents, Daniel & Bernadina Baca, Anselmo Ulibarri, Uncle Charlie Ulibarri, Uncle Eddie Baca, and Cousin Peter Baca. Victor is survived by loving wife Olivia who he shared a union with for the past 25 years. They were married in Las Vegas, NM on February 2, 2002. Victor is lovingly remembered by sons: Victor Ulibarri (Diandra Ortega) from Las Vegas, NM, Andres Ulibarri from the family home in Solano, NM and granddaughter Sophia Jae. He is also remembered by his father Victor Ulibarri from Las Vegas, NM, sister Vivian Ulibarri (Eric Roanhorse) and daughters Esperanza and Isabella Sena from Solano, NM. He is also remembered by his father-in-law and mother-in-law Andy and Julia Rivera from Ribera, NM and In-laws: Randy Rivera (Natalia) and their sons Chris Chavez, Ryan Rivera and daughter Gabriella Rivera from Las Vegas, NM, Augustine Rivera (Adrianne "Coco") and daughters Briana Rivera, Jade Rivera and Preslie Gonzales, Amanda Rivera (Tim Knight), LeeAnn Trujillo(Lawrence) and Alexsandra Rivera all from Albuquerque, NM. He is also remembered by all family members of the Ulibarri, Baca, Rivera and Gonzales Families. Victor was born in Las Vegas, NM on September 26, 1976. Victor graduated from West Las Vegas High School in 1994 and went on to earn a Bachelor's in Education from New Mexico Highlands University. Victor worked as a middle school history teacher for the last 18 years at West Las Vegas Middle School where he was affectionately known by his students as "Mr. U". He also coached high school and middle school boys' basketball. Victor enjoyed spending time with his sons fishing, camping, hiking, attending athletic events and routing for his favorite NFL team, the Chicago Bears. He spent time as a spectator at many horse racing events and loved horseback riding. Victor touched many lives throughout his time. He was a husband, father, grandfather, uncle, nephew, cousin and special friend to many. Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary and Mass of Christian burial will be held at Our Lady Sorrows Church at 9:30 AM on January 11, 2020 at 403 Valencia Street, Las Vegas, NM. Interment to follow at Lagunita, NM. Serving as pallbearers: Matthew Roybal and Curtis Gonzales; Honorary pallbearers: Daniel Tapia, Freddie Martinez, Antoinette "Mona" Roybal, John Vigil, Deidra Martinez, Michael Trujillo, Rick Baca, Lawrence Trujillo, Jason Barela and Augustine Rivera.
