WARNER ROBINS William W. â??Buddyâ?쳌 Lyons Jr., 62, passed away Tuesday, September 30, 2008. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, October 3, 2008 in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will follow with full military honors at Parkway Memorial Gardens. The Reverend Sydney Odom and Mr. Tommy Donaldson will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6 â?? 8 Thursday, October 2, 2008 at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. Mr. Lyons was born on August 13, 1946 in the Panama Canal Zone. He was the son of the late William Warren and Lillian E. Wade Lyons Sr. He was a retired MSGT serving with the United States Marine Corp, a Vietnam veteran, a surveyor and draftsman with Donaldson Garrett & Associates Inc., an avid fisherman and member of Central Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Wanna S. Lyons, children, William Casey Lyons, Rachel Lyons and Andrew Amanda Lyons all of Warner Robins. Two grandchildren, Amerie Lyons and Andrew Lyons. Mother-in-law, Sharon E. Bryant of Warner Robins, sister, Twila Nyland of Burke, VA, brother, Mark A. Lyons of Woodbridge, VA., nephews, Tony Winchell, Ryan Orr and William A. Lyons of Virginia and several other nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a nephew, Mark J. Lyons and two brothers, Homer A. Wade and John A. Lyons. The family request that donations be made to Hospice Care Options, 1125 Walnut Street, Macon, Georgia, 31201 or Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 Westridge Drive, Warner Robins, Georgia, 31088. Heritage Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
