Alfonso Juan Lucero

Alfonso (AJ) Lucero went home to be with the Lord on August 30, 2022. He was 82 years old. AJ was born on February 14, 1940 a life long resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico in the San José district. He is preceded in death by his two sons Rick and Steven Lucero. He is survived by his wife of 63 years Rosina Lucero. He retired from APS after many years. Then served his community as a crossing guard for the elementary schools. He loved fishing, dancing, being with family, telling jokes, and mostly serving the Lord. He served as Head Usher at His Place Ministries for over 30 years. He was a true servant of Christ. He leaves behind his grandchildren Erica Lucero and Rick Lucero, his great grandchildren Joel and Myles, and a very large blended family. Services are going to be held at: His Place Ministries 5505 Central Ave NW Albuquerque, NM 87105 Saturday September 17th at 2pm Matthew 25:23 His Lord replied “Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your Lord.
