Mr. Michael "Mike" Anthony Taylor Sr., 70, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, November 30, 2023. A celebration of his life will be held in the Chapel of Heritage Memorial Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 11:00 AM. A visitation will be held at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home, December 9, 2023 between 10:00 AM and 11:00 AM. Mike was born on January 14, 1953 in New Orleans, LA to the late Stanley Joseph Taylor, Sr., and Juanita Jones. He is survived by his beloved children: January Taylor, Michael Taylor (Jaquonda), Kevin Taylor, and Nathan Taylor; grandchild, Justin Michael Taylor; siblings: Clara Bias, Stanley Larry Taylor, Terry Brinston, Denise Brinston, Dawn Harvey, Stanley Joseph Taylor, Jr., and Christin Taylor; Mother in love Mary Taylor, and a host of extended friends and family. Mike devoted his life to serve his country. He enlisted into the United States Army and served faithfully. He then continued to serve as a United States Postal worker. Mike also became a counselor; touching countless of hearts. When Mike was not working, he enjoyed cheering on the Dallas Cowboys Football Team and listening to old school soul music. Most importantly, Mike cherished his time with his beloved family. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and dear friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
