SCANLON, James Donald, 84, of Tampa, Florida passed away December 30, 2014. He was born July 9, 1930 in Muskegon, Michigan. James was retired from the United States Air Force. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion #139. James also was an active member at the St. Patrick Catholic Church of Tampa. He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Margaret Scanlon; and brother, Marvin. He is survived by his loving wife of sixty years, Gloria C. Scanlon; four children, James R., Steven P. (Anne), David L. (Patty) and Mary (Douglas) Paris; brother, Robert (Clarice) Scanlon; sister, Shirley Ann (Norman) Phister; twelve grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren. A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at St. Patrick Catholic Church, located at 4520 S. Manhattan Ave. Tampa, Florida. Family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. on Friday at Florida Mortuary Funeral & Cremation Services.
