Lillie Catherine Cribbs

Ms. Lillie Catherine “Cathy” Cribbs, age 85, Winter Haven, FL passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2022 surrounded by family. She was born on July 3, 1937 in Carthage, North Carolina to Robert Daniel and Stella Pothenia (Donithan) Medlin. She recently relocated to Winter Haven from the Ft. Lauderdale, FL area where she called home for many years. She enjoyed gardening, playing tennis, bowling, traveling, shopping and most importantly, spending time with her family. Always wanting to spend time just to sit down to talk and visit. Her smile could light up any room and her presence on this earth will be missed by many. She was preceded in death by her parents, her only sister Velita “Ann” Simmes and her nephew Gregory Schreier. Survivors include her daughters Vickie Epperson (Steve), Auburndale, FL; Lindyle Cox, Clinton, MO; Charm Skoularicos (Chris), Dollard-Des-Ormeaux, Canada; seven grandchildren (listed in order by age) Melissa, Joshua, Rebecca, John, Elektra, Savannah, and Sophia; eleven great grandchildren; two nieces, Molly Schreier-Lowie (Bruce), Port Orange, FL, Amy Chapman, Eustis, FL; and nephew Jason Simmes, Clermont, FL. A gathering of family & friends will be held Saturday, October 22nd from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Kersey Funeral Home. Entombment will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Pompano Beach, Florida.
