Obituary Terry Lynn Robinson Terry Lynn Robinson of Winter Haven, Florida, passed away peacefully at the Winter Haven Hospital on April 5, 2024. He was born on August 31, 1955, in Gadsden, Alabama, to the late William Chester and Thelma Louise Thompson Robinson. Terry, affectionately known as “GDad” was a retired lineman/troubleman at Duke Energy Terry is survived by his beloved wife of 22 years, Nancy Robinson and his children Amy Simpson (Todd), Jaron Skipper, and Amber Brady (Jered) and his 7 grandchildren; Gauge Ives, Lakin Ives, Emma Skipper, Gunner Simpson, Garon Simpson and Kaylor Brady. He is also survived by his siblings, David Robinson (Terri), Darlene Kellum, Karen Griffin and Mark Robinson, and a host of nieces and nephews.He is preceded by his brothers Ross, William, Ronnie Eugene, and Dale Robinson as well as his grandson John Skipper. Terry absolutely loved his family and always prided himself on making everyone feel welcomed and part of the family. He enjoyed playing with his dogs, gardening, watching the Florida Gators football games, NASCAR, working in his yard, and cherished every moment spent with his family and dear friends. Terry also had a passion for planning moments with Nancy that created lasting memories, whether it was organizing family gatherings, trips or grilling poolside bringing joy to those around him. He took immense pride in his career as a retired lineman/troubleman and was a valued member of the Duke Energy Family. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the medical staff at Celebration Hospital in Celebration, Florida, for their kindness and professionalism during Terry’s medical journey. Friends and family are welcome to attend the visitation, on Saturday, April 13 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. and the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at Kersey Funeral Home, 108 Lake Stella Drive, Auburndale, Florida, 33823. A reception will follow the funeral service at the home residence, where friends and family can gather to share memories and support each other during this time of loss.
