Joseph Lee Welch Jr, 69, passed away peacefully on Saturday November 12, 2022. Joe was born on October 27, 1953 in Cumberland, Maryland to Joseph and Anita (Coleman) Welch. Joe proudly served his country in the Army and earned many medals and awards. For years Joe volunteered at the V.F.W. and American Legion. Joe was an exceptional carpenter and spent most of his life doing home improvements and construction. In 1988, he met his soulmate and wife Elaine Pezzimenti Welch with whom he spent the last 34 years. Joe had a warm smile and a great sense of humor, he enjoyed vegetable gardening, fishing, watching college football and frequently visiting his family in Maryland. Joe is preceded in death by his parents and his sister Vivian Heavener. He is survived by his wife Elaine, his two daughters Tracy Campbell, son-in-law Dave Campbell and Betty Lawyer and his grandchildren Jade, Cole, Alexandra, Casey and Jax. And also by his niece and nephew Melissa Burns and Joey Welch. A scattering of ashes will be arranged. May he rest easy on the top of a West Virginia mountain spending eternity in peace. He will be dearly missed.
