Daniel Schindler

On Tuesday, January 22, 2019, Daniel Schindler, devoted father, cherished son, brother, and uncle passed after battling cancer at age 52. Daniel was born on April 2nd, 1966 in Gowanda, NY. After graduation, with his friends, he ventured to Florida where he begun a new life and opened his own home improvement business “Dans Handy Hands.” He could fix and build most anything with a perfectionist touch. He cared for his clients as he cared for his friends and soon considered many of them family and vice versa. During his 34 years residing in Oldsmar, Florida he acquired many interests and hobbies including fishing, hunting, playing cards, camping, cook outs , restoring his 1973 Oldsmobile Cutlass and let’s not forget riding his Harley’s. He was a life member of the NRA and a member of The Oldsmar Moose Lodge #2373. He was a man of many traits, skills, and passions, but above all he was a great friend and never strayed from who he was. Dan truly lived life his way. He is survived by his parents, Shirley and Allan Kerr of Dayton, NY; as well as his sister, Candice (Jim) Villa of Perrysburg, NY. He was the devoted father of Jocelyn Schindler, who resided with him in Oldsmar, FL. He is also survived by a great-niece, Amelya Kilby and great-nephew, Archer Kilby. He was predeceased by nephews, Kristopher and Nicholas Kilby. He will be forever, sincerely missed. In his honor on Saturday January 26th, 2019 we will be holding a Celebration of Life starting at 2pm for friends and family at Dan’s residence.
