BENNETT, James Howard, 76, of Seffner, Fl., passed away August 25, 2011. A “Good Guy” has left us and will be sadly missed and forever loved. Born in Lakeland, September 16, 1934, to Edward and Lillie Bennett. He served with the U.S. Armed Forces as a parachutist in Munich, Germany, and loyally worked 43 years for Publix Supermarkets warehouse in Lakeland, where he was affectionally known as “Big Daddy” until retirement in 2000. Howard was devoted to his wife and family, loved growing and sharing vegetables from his garden, and had a passion for collecting depression era glassware and pottery. He leaves behind his wife of 51 years, Gloria; their sons and wives, James Jr. and Christine, John and Connie, Jerold and Angela; daughter, Joylene Bennett; grandchildren, Jerrika and Joshua; brothers, Robert and Clifford Bennett; sisters, Jane Freier and Carol Allred. The family will have a private celebration of his life. Memorial contributions may be made in his honor to LifePath Hospice Melech House 12973 N Telecom Parkway Suite 100, Temple Terrace, Fl. 33637
