David Romano

ROMANO, M.D., David, 81, of Tampa, passed away May 10, 2012. David was born in Cuba on October 25, 1930. David came to us in the U.S. in 1958 as a surgeon working at Gonzalez Clinic in Ybor City. He went on to study further in Virginia and Maryland before returning to Florida to start his own practice in 1968 which served the Tampa community for 41 years. David enjoyed boating and fishing. He loved the beach but his biggest love in life was being a doctor. He is predeceased by his parents, six brothers and sisters and is survived by his wife, Judy Romano; two sons, David Romano, Jr. (Kris) and Michael Romano (Connie); one daughter, Marta Smith (George);step-children, Michael Lewis and Melanie Williams; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He will be loved and missed dearly. Donations can be made in his name to the National Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave, FL 17, Chicago, IL 60601. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Friday, May 18, 2012 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church.
