Ryan Cody Simmons

Ryan Cody Simmons, 37, resident of Auburndale died March 2, 2022, as a result of a traffic accident. Mr. Simmons was born October 2, 1984, in Winter Haven, Florida to Dennis Simmons and Teresa (VanNote) Camp. Although he lived in the Auburndale area his entire life, he truly enjoyed his time at the Heart of Florida New Hope Sanctuary in Davenport. His love of nature and devout spirituality led him to his search for a more meaningful walk-in life with the Lord, Jesus Christ. Ryan enjoyed carpentry, fishing, and all things nature. He was a gentle soul who always had a smile on his face. He was a very kind man, with an infectious sense of humor. He was a great storyteller and was always interested in listening to the stories of others. He will be dearly missed by many. He was preceded in death by his mother; Teresa Camp, his wife; Kendra Markwas Simmons, and son; Cody Alexander. In addition to his father those left to cherish his memory are his brothers; Jered (Beth) Simmons and Jordan Simmons, his sisters; Mariah Munoz, Nancy (Jason) Murphy, and Kristina Hall, and many nieces and nephews; including a very special one Sydney Murphy. He also left behind the daughter of his deceased wife, Audrey Markwas. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made to Combee Connection Ministries in Lakeland, a place that Ryan held very dear to his heart. Thank you, Pastor Kay, for loving him and guiding him in the right direction. Memories and condolences to the family can be sent to the same location. Services will be held at Combee Connection Ministries, located at 1140 North Combee Road in Lakeland on Tuesday, March 8, 2022. Visitation will be at 11:00am with funeral service beginning at 12:00pm. Interment will follow immediately after the service at Auburndale Memorial Park in Auburndale, Florida.
