Hebert, Thomas J., 83, of Sun City Center, FL passed away August 29, 2014. He was raised in Grand Marais MI and joined the Air Force in 1949. He served in the United States Air Force as a control tower operator during the Korean Conflict. He retired after 30 years of service from the Michigan State Police as Commander and later retired as Sheriff of Montcalm County, Michigan to FL. He was married to Eva on August 31st 1997 where they resided as members of Kings Way Country Club for 10 years and are currently members of Caloosa Country Club. Tom was a volunteer security for Sun City Center. He was a member of the American Legion Post 6287 and the VFW Post 389 in Ruskin, FL and was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by two nephews and one granddaughter in law. Survivors include his wife, Lillian Eva Hebert, three sons; Lt. Colonel Thomas (Petra) Hebert, James (Karen) Hunt, and John (Lisa) Hunt, three daughters, Patricia Rogers, Judy (Larry) LaReux and Janet Davis, Ph.D., 12 grandchildren and four great grandchildren, twin sisters, Rosemary (Gene) Duranseau and Suzanne (Jim) Trump, two brothers, Louis and Alan Hebert and 30 nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to TGH General Hospital Foundation, P.O. Box 1289, Tampa, FL 3601-1289.
