Albert (AL) Martinello, 90 of Melbourne Beach, FL., passed away on October 28, 2014 at his home in Melbourne Beach, under the care of Hospice of Health First, Inc. Al was a US Army Veteran, Staff Sergeant in WWII, serving in Burma with Merrill's Marauders. Al was a retired plumbing & heating contractor in his hometown of Elmsford, NY., Al Martinello Plumbing & Heating, Inc. which has been in business over 50 years. Al was predeceased by his mother and father, Frances & James Martinello; brother James Martinello; sisters, Mary Zabielski and Frances Zabielski. He is survived by, his wife of 67 years, Loretta (DeSantis); sons, Albert A. Martinello, Jr. ( Donna) of Elmsford, NY, Jim Martinello (Renee) of Tallahassee, FL; daughter, Laurie Druckenmiller (Tom) of Melbourne, FL; grandchildren, Laura, Leigh Ann and Lindsy Druckenmiller, Kaleigh, Kendall and Cameron Martinello; nieces and nephews, Jim Martinello Dowdell, Marie Grimes, FranCesa Zabielski, David Zabielski, Bob Martinello and Joy Martinello. Al loved his family above all other things and particularly enjoyed family holidays like Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter and birthdays. Al played a large part in being involved with his grandchildren whom he idolized, and loved being a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Services will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Melbourne Beach on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Mr. Martinello's memory to be made to Hospice of Health First, Inc. in West Melbourne, FL.
