Archie Pollock, age 82, passed away on Monday, October 19, 2015. Archie was born on December 25, 1933 in Trenton, NJ. Archie married his beloved wife, Carmella Passarelli, on 24 Oct 1953. She preceded him in death in 2011. Archie worked at Johnson Motors in the Engineering Dept. (IL) and retired in 1983. Archie lived life to the fullest. He was outgoing and friendly with everyone he met. His philosophy was "be thankful and grateful". Throughout his life he enjoyed family gatherings, baseball, golfing and fishing. His annual fishing trips to Canada with friends were some of his most treasured experiences. In 2012, he landed five master length Walleyes (minimum 28"), which qualified him as a Manitoba Master Angler and Walleye Specialist. Archie is survived by his daughter, Cathy Cheek; his son, Richmond Pollock and his wife, Sue; his 5 grandchildren, Randy Ray, Sara Davis, Jennifer Clark, Laura Pollock and Angela Cheek; his 6 great grandchildren, Nicholas and Mason Ray, Josiah Davis, Blake and Liam DeWitte, and Lily Clark; his brother, Kenneth Pollock and sister, Maureen Flood; and his dedicated companion, Linda Jubb. Archie was preceded in death by his daughter, Linda Pollock and sister, Laverne Satler. In lieu of flowers or plants, donations can be made in Archie's honor through the Pollock Family's Relay for Life team, Inspired by Carmella. On-line donations can be made by logging on to www.relayforlife.org, then searching for Inspired by Carmella and clicking on the "Donate Now" button. A Memorial Service is scheduled on Saturday, November 7th at Beach Funeral Home, 4999 N. Wickham Rd. in Melbourne at 1:00 pm, and a Celebration of Life gathering will follow at 3:30 pm at Beef O Brady's, 3030 Lake Washington for friends and family.
