John Patrick Callahan
August 29th, 1928 - January 10th, 2018
Dr. John P. Callahan (1928 - 2018) Dr. Callahan, emeritus professor at Florida Institute of Technology, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2018. He retired from FIT in August 1998 after having served as an Associate Dean and Professor of Management in their College of Business. Dr. Callahan was born in Astoria, New York in August 1928. He was a veteran of both the Army and Air Force and also worked as a civilian for the Army. Most of his career was spent in various foreign countries, where he served as an advisor to foreign military organizations. Dr. Callahan came to Brevard County in 1976. He was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Indialantic, where he was active as a lecturer, usher and past president of the Parish Council and Education Committee. No calling hours are scheduled. Services will be held at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, Indialantic at 10:00 a.m. on January 25th. Burial will be at Arlington National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for gifts to be made in Dr. Callahan's name to: William Childs Hospice House c/o Health First Foundation 1350 S.
