age 88, of Clearwater, passed away Tuesday, December 1, 2015. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he moved here in 1993 from Long Island, NY. He was a veteran of WWII and served in the Navy in the Pacific Theater. He was a retired police detective for the Nassau County Police Department in Long Island, NY. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He loved life and he loved to help others. He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Dorothy, and his daughter, Cathy Guzzi. He is survived by daughter, Joan Mondone; son, Thomas J. Guzzi; son, Joseph Guzzi Jr.; daughter, Patricia Nelson; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. There will be a Celebration of Life on Thursday, December 10, at 2 pm, at A Life Tribute Funeral Care in Largo. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Dementia Care Givers Resources Inc.
