Elizabeth Coppedge

COPPEDGE, Elizabeth, “Dolly”, 95, of Lutz, Fla. passed away Sunday, May 2, 2010 just four days before her 96th birthday. She was born in White Stone, VA and moved to Lutz from Jacksonville in 2007. Dolly retired after 20 years as a secretary with International Paper in Jacksonville. She was an avid reader, loved volunteering and helping others. She was the volunteer of the year in 1995 with Methodist Hospital in Jacksonville. Dolly was a true southern lady with the unique Virginia dialect. She always made delicious cookies and candies and shared them with her friends and family. She enjoyed cooking, baking, eating Virginia BBQ and chocolate desserts. Most of all she enjoyed her family. She was preceded in death by her brothers, B.D. Williams and Andrew Powell Williams. She is survived by her daughter, Betsy Helt and her husband, Fred of Lutz; son, Harold B. Jr., and his wife, Lyn of Orange Park, FL; sister-in-law, Betty Williams of White Stone, VA; two nieces Cathy Rowe and her husband, Bay and Betty Carol Rilee both of White Stone, VA and her loving granddogs, Coco Helt and Emma Coppedge. Dolly was the bedrock of her family and a wonderful lady. She will be forever missed by her family. She was a fantastic mother and mother-in-law. Memorial contributions may be made in Dolly’s name to Gulfside Regional Hospice, 5760 Dean Dairy Road, Zephyrhills, FL 33542. A celebration of her life will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 8th at Loyless Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Graveside Services will take place on Saturday, May 15th at 2:00 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery, 4535 Main Street, Jacksonville, FL.
