Jack Lewis Huss

HUSS, Jack L., 79, of Tampa, Fla., passed away Saturday, March 19, 2011. He was born in Muncie, Indiana and moved to Fla., from East Greenwich, Rhode Island in 1985. Jack was a family man, golfer and great friend and a business leader that displayed incredible honesty and integrity. Beginning with a short college stint at Tri-State College in Indiana, Jack entered Crane Company’s Executive Management Training Program. From the 1950’s through the early 2000’s, Jack led executive management groups in the manufacturing end of the plumbing and valve business with, Crane Co, Hammond Valve and Conval, ITT Grinnell, JPI and Briggs Manufacutring. Settling in Tampa in the mid eighties, Jack and Betty were very involved in the church, golf and community, and their family. Jack is survived by his sweetheart of 60 years, Betty Lou (Godfrey) Huss, three sisters and there extended families, his three children; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren with more on the way. Special thanks to Orlando Garcia and the Coral Team of LifePath for all the care and concern given the Huss family. Peace be with you our beloved husband, brother, father, grandfather and uncle. We love you Jack. A memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m. at St James United Methodist Church on Friday. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
