Eleanor R Leonard

LEONARD, Eleanor, of Lutz, Florida passed away December 19, 2013. She was born in Philadelphia, moved to Westmont, New Jersey in 1956 and then to sunny Florida in 2003. She was a secretary at 3M from which she retired. Eleanor loved to travel. She was Catholic and a member of Holy Savior Catholic Church in Westmont, New Jersey and a member of St. Timothy Catholic Church in Lutz, Florida. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and an awesome cook, who shared her Italian cooking with others. She was a thoughtful, considerate, kind woman who had a heart of gold. Eleanor loved her grandchildren so much; they were the joys of her life. She is preceded in death by her parents, Domenic and Concetta Deviato. She is survived by her husband, Harry, of 67 years, of Lutz, Florida; sons, Mark S. and wife Jean Leonard of Hurst, Texas and Stephen M. and wife Christine Leonard of Lutz, Florida; sister, Marie Philiponis, of Philadelphia; four grandchildren, Andrew, Caitlin, Morgan and Nicole Leonard; three great grandchildren, Brayden, Savannah Leonard and Leilani Lau; nieces and nephews. A memorial mass will be celebrated at 9:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at St. Timothy Catholic Church. A private interment will be held at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Eleanor's name to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
