Martha Mishoe Lovallo
December 9th, 1921 - September 12th, 2010
Martha Mishoe Lovallo, 88, passed away peacefully with her family on September 12, 2010. She was resident of St. Petersburg since 1951. Born in East Millinocket, Maine she spent her formative years in Newfoundland and at 16 years old attended college at Mount St. Vincent College, in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She then attended the Rhode Island Hospital School of Nursing from which she graduated in 1945. In St. Petersburg, Mrs. Lovallo worked for St. Anthony's hospital, Bayfront Medical Center and for over 20 years as the Associate Director of the Community Blood Bank. Mish, as she was known to her friends, was an avid gardener and a long time member of the Coquina Key Garden Club. She is survived by her daughters Nancy Lovallo, Basye, VA; Frances Lovallo, Denver, CO; granddaughters Rachel Bernstein, Fresno, CA, and Emily Schmidt, Clermont, FL; her brother William Mishoe, Sodas Point, NY and numerous extended family and lifelong friends. A service will be held at the Westminster Shores Chapel, 125 56th Avenue S, on Friday, September 17, at 2:00 pm.
