NELSON, Richard T., ?Dick,? 67, of St. Petersburg, died Saturday, Feb. 19, 2000 at home. Born in Boston, MA, he came here in 1997 from Worthington, OH. In 1964, he received a Bachelor of Science degree from Northeastern University, Boston, and was a professor at Columbus OH State Community College. He was an engineer and project manager for 15 years at Battelle Memorial Institute, Columbus. He was an artist, who loved classical music and was a classic car enthusiast. In Columbus, he was a member of St. Stephen?s Episcopal Church. Locally, he was a member of Madeira Beach Public Library and attended St. Thomas Episcopal Church. He served in the Navy during the Korean War. Survivors include his wife, Maureen P. Nelson; a daughter, Sandra Anne Nelson, Seattle, WA; a son, Mark Richard, Nemo, SD; a granddaughter, Karly Jeanette Lampard, Seattle, WA; a brother, Bradford, Quincy, MA; and four stepchildren, Heather, Patricia, Kathleen and Andrew McIntosh, all of Ontario, Canada.
