Burgio, William G. ?Bill?, 72, of St. Petersburg, died Thursday, May 24th, 2001 at his home. He was born in New York City, NY and came here in 1967 from Bronx, NY. Locally, he was a Superintendent for the City Of St. Petersburg Sanitation Department and retired after 25 years of service. He also was the owner of two businesses on 4th Street North for 5 years, B & D Jewelers and Odds & Ends. He was Catholic. He is survived by 1 daughter, Lorna Slonaker and 1 son, Steven Burgio, both of St. Petersburg; 2 sisters, Elizabeth F. Hanson of St. Petersburg and Geraldine L. Savino of Mahwah, NY; 1 brother, John A. Burgio of Congers, NY; 7 grandchildren and many nieces & nephews. Anderson-McQueen Funeral Homes & Cremation Tribute Center-McLeod Chapel.
