Krieger, John A. ?Santa?, 62, of St. Petersburg, died Saturday June 22, 2002 at home. Born in Buffalo, New York, he came here in 1975 from Buffalo, New York. He worked as a communication specialist in the Army during the Vietnam War and retired from the Army after twenty years of service. He also worked as a file clerk for the Veteran?s Admininistration for over twenty three years, retiring from the Bay Pines location in 2002. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. He was a member of American Legion Post #14 and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Sunshine City Post #6827. Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Caroline Krieger, one daughter, Barbara Yeager of St. Petersburg, three sons, Thomas of St. Petersburg, John and Kenneth, both of Orlando, Fl., two sisters, Jean Pettigrew, Los Angeles, California and Rose Connlay of Phoenix, Arizona, four brothers, Richard of San Diego, California, Edward of Los Angeles, California, Donald of Delta,Colorado, and Robert of Buffalo, New York, and five grandchildren. Anderson-McQueen Funeral Homes and Cremation Tribute Center-Ninth Street Chapel.
