Nelson, Edmund Andrew, Sr. ?Ed,? 68, of St. Petersburg, died Sunday April 6, 2003 at home under Hospice care. Born in Jamestown, NY, he came here in 1994 from El Paso, TX. He was a 1952 graduate of Jamestown High School and a member of the band. He served as a Corporal in the U.S. Army following the Korean War. He was an Electronics Engineer with General Electric for several years and attended St. James United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Janet ?Jan?; one daughter, Sherry Nelson, Orlando, FL; and one son, Edmund Nelson, Jr., Columbia, SC. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions in his name to the American Cancer Society, 4801-86th Avenue North, Pinellas Park, FL 33782 or to the Hospice of the Florida Suncoast, 300 E. Bay Dr., Largo, FL 33770. Anderson-McQueen Funeral Homes & Cremation Tribute Center- McLeod Chapel.
