Gilbert David Bell, Jr.

Gilbert David "Dave" Bell Jr., CMSGT, USAF Ret. age 80 went to be with his Lord and Savior on February 15, 2016. Dave was born on November 24, 1935 to the late Gilbert D. and Doris C. Johnson Bell in a farmhouse up the holler in Clearfield County, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Punxsutawney High School "Home of the Groundhog" in 1953. Dave dreamed of a military career and in January 1954 enlisted in the USAF. He had many stateside and oversees assignments in Japan, Thailand, Korea, and Vietnam. After 22 years of service, Dave retired and continued his career as a structural draftsman. Dave is survived by his wife of 38 years Nanci (Brubaker), children; Kristina (Scott) Taylor , Stacy (Kevin) Bosshamer , Grant (Chrissy) Bell , Courtney (Aaron) Bitz and Lance (Tiffany) Bell , grandchildren; Brittany (Morgan) McMullen, Noah and Zachary Taylor, Sandra and Jacob Bell, Jaedyn, Kegan, and Breckyn Bosshamer, Kira and Kellen Bell, great-grandson; Kyler Komaroski, brothers; Grant (Sandy) Bell, Joseph (Edna) Bell, Russell (Nina) Bell, Larry Bell, sister; Karen (Bob) Davidson, and many brothers and sisters-in-law. He had a great sense of humor, the ability to tell a story, and was always willing to help others. Dave served this country with great honor and veterans and animals were close to his heart.
