December 5th, 1921 - May 10th, 2003
Mandula, John, Jr., 81, of Palm Harbor died Saturday May 10, 2003 under the care of Hospice of the Florida Suncoast, surrounded by his wife and family. John was a true gentelman, and he will be forever remembered as a man of integrity, compassion and spiritual strength. Born in Stropkov, Czechoslovakia, he resided here since 1998 after moving from Toledo, Ohio. He retired in 1986 as a Buyer and Merchandising Executive, working for R. H. Macy?s, LaSalles Department Store and Elder-Beerman for over 30 years. He was a World War II Veteran, having served as a Motor Machinist, Third Class in the United States Coast Guard. He was a member of the Espiritu Santo Catholic Church, and the Knights of Columbus, Barney Gonyea Council 7109. He was preceded in death by his daughter Carol E. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Margaret R.; 4 sons, Mark S.and his wife Kathy, of St. Petersburg, FL; John G. ?Jack? and his wife Jane, of Alpharetta, GA; Thomas G.and his wife Sharon, of Boulder, CO; and David W.and his wife Mary Jo, of Downers Grove, IL; and 7 grandchildren.
