March 29th, 1924 - June 20th, 2003
Remo, William J. ?Bill?, 79, of St. Petersburg died Thursday June 19, 2003 at St. Anthony?s Hospital. Born in Chicago, IL, to Clyde and Adelaide Bloomfield Remo, he came to St. Petersburg in 1990 from Rockville, Maryland. He received his BA from Franklin and Marshall College and earned his MBA from the University of Chicago. He served in the Navy during WWII. He retired as V.P. of Corporate Development after over 20 years with Abbott Laboratories in Abbott Park, Illinois and 16 years with Litton Industries in Rockville, Maryland. He was Catholic and was an Eagle Scout. He was also former a member of the Illinois Athletic Club and annually assisted with the Remembrance Day festivities at Royal Albert Hall in London as well as the Boy Scout?s ?GANG SHOW? performances. He was well known on the London Theatre scene. Survivors include his companion of 29 years, John A. Chresaidos and many friends in the U.S. and U.K. Anderson-McQueen Funeral Homes & Cremation Tribute Center- Ninth St. Chapel.
