Norwood, Ruby M. Adams, ?Miss Ruby,? 98, of St. Petersburg, died Tuesday September 16, 2003 at Lexington Health and Rehab. Center. Born in Taylorsville, Maryland, she came here in 1975 from Annapolis, Maryland. She was a telephone operator for the Chesapeake & Potomac Telephone Company for 33 years, retiring in 1954. Thereafter, she was a switchboard operator at Ann Arundel Hospital in Annapolis, Maryland, for more than 10 years. She was a 44-year member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Annapolis, Maryland, and a 28-year member of First United Methodist Church in St. Petersburg, Florida. She was also a 47-year member of the Annapolis Chapter No. 46, Order of the Easter Star, and the Telephone Pioneers of America. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and canning, sewing, playing piano, singing, and especially her beloved pets. Survivors include her niece, Karalee D. Bidwell, of St. Petersburg, Florida, and numerous nieces and nephews in Annapolis, Maryland. Anderson-McQueen Funeral Homes & Cremation Tribute Center-Ninth Street Chapel.
